Idli Sambar

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Everest Sambar Masala
  • ¼ tsp Fenugreek
  • Asafoetida
  • Curry Leaves
  • 4 Shallots (Halves)
  • 2 Chilli (Slit)
  • 1 Tomato (Chopped)
  • ½ Carrot (Chopped)
  • 1 Potato (Cubed)
  • 5 Beans (Chopped)
  • 5 Pieces Drumstick
  • ½ Brinjal (Cubed)
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Jaggery
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¾ cup Tamarind Extract
  • 1 cup Toor Dal (Boiled)
  • 2 tbsp Coriander

Instructions

  • In a large pan heat oil, add shallots, chilies and saute.
  • Add 1 tomato and continue to cook.
  • Add mixed vegetables, Everest Turmeric Powder, jaggery, salt and water.
  • Boil for 10 mins.
  • Add tamarind extract, toor dal, water and mix well.
  • Add Everest Sambar Powder and boil.
  • Get some hot steamed idli and pour sambar over it.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and enjoy.
